Arcades in Walt Disney World
Where to get your gaming fix at the Happiest Place on Earth.
With so much to do at Walt Disney World, it is hard to imagine having any extra time during a Disney vacation to play games. Well too bad, cause there are loads of games to be played on Disney property!
Fans of arcades visiting Disney World will find themselves surrounded by many options for arcade gaming. Just about everywhere you go in Disney World has an arcade. The parks have them, the resorts have them, there is even Disney Quest, located in Disney Springs, which is possibly the greatest arcade in the country!
After a long day at the park, it is nice to just spend the evening at the arcade focusing on games while avoiding both crowds and the heat. I find the arcades to be a really fantastic amenity on off days. Usually my first day of a Disney trip is spent enjoying the resort and exploring Disney Springs. The arcades are a great way to kick off your trip because they are relaxing and tons of fun. Disney Quest is easily my favorite. All five floors of this interactive theme park are decorated with every arcade machine you could possibly imagine. This is especially nice for those true fans of arcades, as you can find many rare classics here. Another great thing about Disney Quest is that you only pay for admission. After that, you have unlimited access to all the games inside.
(Unfortunately, Disney Quest will be closing for good sometime in 2016 so I suggest you go soon, before it is too late!)
Disney World offers over 1,500 games throughout all of its many arcades and best of all, you can access any of them. Aside from Disney Quest, the arcade card required to use the machines will work at any other arcade on property. This means if you still have remaining credits on you card after a day at Coronado Springs, you’ll still be able to use the rest at the Contemporary Resort. With so many places to play and so many games to choose from, you will never get tired of gaming on your Disney vacation.
