World of Warcraft Director is Moving to New Blizzard Project

World of Warcraft Senior Designer and Game Director, Tom Chilton, has stepped down from his position at Blizzard and is now moving onto a new, unannounced, project within the company.

The announcement was made yesterday in a post on Battle.net. Chilton has been with the massive MMO's team since 2004, and has brought the game from its alpha stage, to the recently released Legion expansion. Needless to say, he's played an integral role on the team form nearly day one.

My personal journey working on WoW as Game Director is at an end, but my journey with Blizzard ins't. I'll still be here, but will be focusing on another project within the company.

There has been a lot of talk surrounding new Star Craft 2 content, new Diablo content, and even a possible Warcraft 4. As of now, nothing has been announced, though we wish Chilton the best in whatever his new project may be.
