Unreal Engine 4 to Be Supported on Nintendo Switch

Unreal Engine 4 to Be Supported on Nintendo Switch

Looks like the powerful Unreal Engine 4 will be supported on Nintendo's new hybrid hardware, the Switch.

Unreal confirmed that the engine would be used to develop Switch games in a Tweet just hours ago.

The Unreal Engine has always been regarded as a high fidelity engine, and its fourth iteration has been used to build games such as Gears of War 4, and the upcoming Kingdom Hearts 3. Having all this support from third-parties is great news for Nintendo, as a lack of third-party support has been one of their biggest struggles in recent generations.

Perhaps this ability to handle engines like Unreal Engine 4 testifies to how powerful this little machine is. We are still waiting to hear more from Nintendo regarding more detailed specs, as well as a full list of games in development, but for now, the hype for this new machine is starting to go through the roof.

For all things Nintendo Switch, stay tuned to Second Best Gaming!
