Beyond Good and Evil Sequel Officially Announced
After years of teases and speculation, a sequel to Beyond Good and Evil has officially been confirmed.
Michael Ancel, series creator, just made the announcement of the game's Facebook Page, which you can see below. The concept art is the same picture that recently posted on Ancel's Instagram page last week.
The game is being worked on by Ubisoft Montpellier, who are known for their work on the Rayman series, ZombiU, and the upcoming Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands.
The original Beyond Good and Evil was released in 2003. A sequel was announced at E3 2008, though little information was shared then. Over the years, Ubisoft has said very little about the game, and many believed that it had been cancelled. Then earlier this year, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot conformed that the game was being worked on.
Hopefully we will see more of the sequel by the time E3 2017 rolls around, but we will just have to wait and see. The important thing is that we now know the game is coming for real, so the internet can shut up about how they want a sequel.
