Pokémon GO Update Will Make Catching Rare Pokémon Easier
Pokémon GO is getting an update that will make it a little easier to catch those rare Pokémon we all find ourselves trying to catch in the late hours of the night.
According to the game's website, players will receive bonuses for catching specific types of Pokémon. For example, catch enough fire-type Pokémon and you'll receive a bonus that makes it easier to come across fire-types, like Charmander, Ponyta, and Vulpix. The idea is to reduce the amount of time spent farming for a single type of Pokémon, as well as reward players who play regularly.
If the Pokémon you are trying to catch has two types, your bonus for that creature will be the average of those two types. For example, Pidgey is a normal and flying-type Pokémon. To increase your chances of trying to catch one, not that you would need another Pidgey, your bonus would simply be the average of your flying and normal-type.
The image below provides an idea of how players will unlock these bonuses.
No release date has been provided for the update yet, but stay tuned for more information.
