Nintendo Themed Land Coming to Universal Studios Orlando and Hollywood

Nintendo Themed Land Coming to Universal Studios Orlando and Hollywood

Last Spring we heard that Nintendo and Universal Studios were working to bring a Nintendo themed land to Universal Studios in Osaka, Japan. Word was that the plans would also carry over to the US parks, but until today, we hadn't heard any update.

In the above video, Shigeru Miyamoto mentions that the attractions will be aimed at all audiences, and the environments will be themed accordingly to fan favorite Nintendo universes. The lands are said to be highly themed and interactive, and will include specially themed gift shops and eateries, in typical theme park fashion.

Universal Studios recently brought the popular Wizarding World of Harry Potter themed land to the parks, and if the plans for Nintendo are anything like that, we have a lot to look forward to. Plans are still off in the distance, so don't expect to see any opening dates in the near future.

If you've never been to a Universal Studios park, this should provide you with a pretty good reason to make the trip.
