Monitor's Bounty Coming to Halo 5

Monitor's Bounty Coming to Halo 5

Halo 5: Guardians is receiving its next free update this week, called Monitor's Bounty, and it will take two days to roll out all the content.

According to Halo Waypoint, the update will include new armor, skins, weapons, REQ Packs, and Forge features. However, perhaps the most notable inclusion is the ability join games in-progress. Halo 5 will now have a Custom Games Browser to find the specific game you're looking to play. Players will also be able to observe games in customs matches with the game's new spectator mode.

We know getting a full fireteam together to run customs isn’t always easy, and while Looking For Group is great for appointment gaming, sometimes you just want to jump in and discover something new. The new Custom Games Browser enables you to search for in-progress games from the main menu. Games you can join are based on their privacy settings when they are created in the lobby. We’ve also updated the Content Browser so that if you find a map or mode that you like, you’ll be able to browse for in-progress custom games from that file’s options.

Spice up your multiplayer experience by purchasing new announcer voices for Warzone and Arena. Announcer voices include: Spartan Buck (perhaps more well known as ODST Buck), 031 Exuberant Witness (from the campaign), and Yabda Merciless (that grunt guy).

Monitor's Bounty will also bring the ability to gift REQ Packs, if you're into that kind of thing. The update starts rolling out this Thursday, and 343 Industries will announce more about the update later today. Until then, stay tuned to Second Best Gaming, where our only staff writer has a slight obsession with the Halo franchise.
