Report Says Nintendo is Working on a New Handeld Codenamed "MH"
A new report shared by Yahoo Japan Finance and NeoGAF states that in addition to the NX, Nintendo is working on a new handheld device codenamed "MH". The following statement was provided from a business analyst at Mitsubishi UF J Morgan Stanley:
"The driving force up until now has been new business from “health services, theme parks and mobile games etc”, but will switch over to the next generation game system (NX) and next-gen handheld game device (MH (temporary name)).”
If true, this would come as quite a surprise seeing as many speculate that Nintendo's future in portable gaming is either in the NX, mobile, or both. Of course this codename could be alluding to a different aspect of the upcoming NX, or even a bundle for the existing Nintendo 3DS with the upcoming game, Monster Hunter Generations (as some speculate the "MH" stands for "Monster Hunter").
One thing is for certain, if any of this is true, we won't be hearing about it at E3 next month. With little known about the NX and even less about the new "MH", it is hard to say much else.
Stay tuned for more information, if and when Nintendo makes a statement.
