Reveal of Destiny's New Expansion Coming Next Week

Reveal of Destiny's New Expansion Coming Next Week

Developer Bungie has announced the "Destiny Reveal Stream", coming next Thursday at 10 AM PT, on their Twitch channel.

The "Destiny Reveal Stream" will detail the next expansion for the game that is set to release later this year. The photo above was posted by Bungie on their forum and features new armor from the Iron Banner, possibly alluding to some new details about the expansion.

Two weeks ago, a piece of leaked artwork was posted on Reddit. The leaked name for the expansion is Rise of Iron. Though the leaked photo has not been confirmed or denied, it certainly seems to add up.

Back in February, Activision announced that a new Destiny expansion would be coming later this year, and that it would be bigger than the first two expansions. Hopefully this means we'll be getting a Taken King size release.

The addition of this year's Destiny expansion has pushed the projected release of a proper Destiny sequel back to 2017.
