Bioshock Collection Confirmed, Coming September 13
After much speculation, and even a leak from the ratings board, Bioshock: The Collection has officially been announced. Coming September 13, 2016 to PC, PS4, and Xbox One, the collection will feature the original Bioshock, Bioshock 2, and Bioshock Infinite.
The games will be remastered in 1080p and will run at 60FPS. Unfortunately, the PC version of the game will not feature Bioshock Infinite because the game already meets the performance of current-gen games.
The three games will include all single-player DLC and the first game will even include the Museum of Orphaned Concepts gallery that was originally on the PS3 release. New developer commentary videos have been added to the first game, featuring Ken Levine and Shawn Robertson.
Bioshock 2 will not include online multiplayer. Again, all the single-player DLC including Minerva's Den will still be there. This is to be expected as online multilayer was never a staple in the Bioshock series. The sequel included multiplayer at a time when seemingly every first-person shooter felt the need to include an online multiplayer mode.
This marks the first time that the series will be on current-generation consoles.
