Your Xbox One Can Now Play Music in the Background

Your Xbox One Can Now Play Music in the Background

At E3 a few weeks ago, Microsoft announced that some much requested features will be soon making their way to Xbox users. Today they announced that one of those features, background music, will be coming on August 2.

Remember this? This is the feature Xbox 360 users utilized to listen to Disturb while they got kill streaks on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and argued with twelve-year-old boys from around the globe! Seriously though, background music is an excellent feature and it great to see it coming back.

This update will also allow users to choose their own console language regardless of their home region. While this feature isn't necessarily exciting, it should be useful to many.

Finally there is still the Cortana voice assistant update, set to release later this year. Remember, even if you don't have a Kinect, you can still use Cortana by through a headset.
