Metal Gear Survive Revealed
Konami announced Metal Gear Survive today at GamesCom. The new four-player co-op survival game takes place after the events of MGS V: Ground Zero in an alternate timeline.
Coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC in 2017, this is Konami's way of saying "we are still making Metal Gear without Hideo Kojima." Few members of Kojima's team are said to be working on the project, and judging by there trailer, there won't be many familiar characters either. What it really looks like is a Resident Evil 5 successor, but I will reserve further judgment. The game will be using the beautiful FOX engine that was used to make MSG V.
Konami has confirmed that the game will not be a full $60 release, but rather, something more along the lines of a Ground Zero. It would be safe to assume that this game will cost roughly $30-$40 when it is released.
