The Last Guardian Delayed Again, Not Joking
At this point, there is no reason for me to believe that The Last Guardian will ever come out until the physical game is in my hands.
The one and only Shuhei Yoshida took to the PlayStation Blog to break the news.
A delay is a difficult decision, particularly with this game, but we have encountered more bugs than anticipated while in the final stages of development. To ensure that The Last Guardian delivers on the experience that the game's creators have envisioned, we need to take the extra time to work on these issues.
The game will now launch on December 6, which is only a few weeks removed from its initial October 25 release. The Last Guardian has infamously been delayed time and time again since 2011. The game was originally going to be a PS3 game, but here we are three years into the PS4 generation. The game went dark a few years ago and many speculated that it had been cancelled until E3 2015, when Sont re-reveleaed it.
Of course delays are usually only a good thing. This will give the team at JAPAN Studio the extra time to iron out and rough spots. For more on The Last Guardian, stay tuned to Second Best Gaming.
