Pokémon Go Plus Has a Release Date

The accessory for the immensely popular mobile game will be coming out "in much of the world next week," according to Niantic. The official release date is September 16.

Pokémon Go Plus is a wearable accessory that players can use to aid them in catching Pokémon and collecting Poké Balls without having to pull out a your phone. Originally announced for a July release, the device was later pushed back to an unspecified September date. Well worry not nerds who stay out 'til 3am trying to catch Dragonite, you will have your accessory soon!

Pokémon Go Plus will launch for $35 in the United States. Also notable, yesterday during Apple's iPhone event, Niantic announced that Pokémon Go will soon support the Apple Watch Series 2. Not sure how that will effect the need for the Plus device, seeing as it will offer much of the same functionality, but we will let you know when we find out.
