Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Coming April 28

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Coming April 28

Although not actively talked about at the Switch Presentation, Nintendo slyly announced Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for the Switch last night.

This new version of Mario Kart 8 includes all of the content, including DLC, from the Wii U version plus more. New characters include Inkling Girl and Boy from Splatoon, Dry Bones Bowser, Bowser Jr., ad Kind Boo.

Battle mode will also relieve some updates, including new maps and the ability to carry two items at a time. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will get some new items, like the Boo item swapper, and the Feather. A new assisted steer option will now be available for younger players just learning the ropes.

Nintendo will also be selling new Wii Wheel-like accessories for the Joy-Cons, for players that just love the motion control option. The wheel will be sold as a set of two for $15.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will launch on Nintendo Switch April 28.
