Lego Dimensions Has Officially Been Canceled

After many rumors and a lack of official news on what's next, Lego Dimensions has officially been canceled.

News comes directly from the Lego Dimensions Twitter account.

Lego's toys-to-life game will continue to have its online infrastructure supported and all packs will  continue to function as usual. The game made it through two of its intended three year cycle.

Lego Dimensions featured tons of properties from Harry Potter, to Sonic the Hedgehog, and even Ghost Busters. Sales for the game have been dwindling and competitors are either now gone (Disney Infinity) or on hiatus (Skylanders).

The toys-to-life genre seems to be coming to an end with all major competitors falling off.

I'm still numb after the loss of my precious Disney Infinity, but my thoughts are with those who's jobs may have been effected by the cancellation.
