Square Enix Announces New RPG and New Studio
Square Enix has announced a new RPG under the name Project Prelude Rune. No word on whether or not this is the game's official name, or just another obscure Japanese game title, but yeah, Project Prelude Rune.
The game will be Studio Istolia's debut, as they are a newly formed studio under Square's leadership. The studio is being headed by Hideo Baba, who formerly worked as a producer on the Tales series for Namco Bandai.
Studio Istolia is here to create new IP for Square Enix, as well as create new entries for existing franchises. Square says that the studio's purpose is to inspire players lives with "unforgettable stories."
Here is a look at some concept art for Project Prelude Rune.
Nothing else has been announced at this time. But hey, new IP. That's refreshing.
