Future Halo FPS Games Will "Always Have Split Screen"

Future Halo FPS Games Will "Always Have Split Screen"

It looks like future Halo installments will once again include split screen multiplayer that Halo 5 lacked.

During Microsoft and 343 Industries' conference at this year's D.I.C.E. Summit, 343i head Bonnie Ross said, "for any FPS, we will always have split screen going forward." This was said in acknowledgement to Halo 5's mishap with not including local split screen multiplayer.

343i promises to continue to take to the community for feedback on the franchise and believes that the community is what makes the franchise what it is.

Nice to see a company own up to its shortcomings. It seems safe to say that players can look forward to couch co-op when Halo 6 (presumably) launches in the next few years.
