Cars 3: Driven to Win Coming June 13 to Pretty Much Everything but PC
The former Disney Infinity studio, Avalanche Software, has been revived by WB Games and is now making a movie tie-in game for the upcoming DisneyPixar movie, Cars 3.
Cars 3: Driven to win will release on June 13, the same day as the Cars 3 movie. The game takes place after the events of the movie, meaning, no, Lightning McQueen isn't dead. Go rewrite your fan fiction, you dirty creeps.
Players will have six modes to play, including a playground goof-off mode, local multiplayer races, free-play racing, and more. Characters will be able to unlock new abilities and add-ons, and does this car have a gun attached to its side?! Cars 3 spoiler alert: the future is some Mad Max, post-apocalyptic bulls**t.
Cars 3: Driven to Win will be on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U, Switch, not PC, and pretty much anything else with a screen that isn't a PC (suck it, PC master race). It's been a long time since we've seen a movie tie-in game that was available on everything. Although that may sound like a cash grab, the team at Avalanche Software has a pretty impressive track record, and never really releases a poor product. And that's not just the Avalanche Software fanboy in me talking (I type as I look around my bedroom filled with Disney Infinity figures).
