Ubisoft Releasing New Far Cry, Assassin's Creed, The Crew 2, and South Park Within the Next Year
Yesterday during Ubisoft's annual earnings report big guy Yves Guillemot offered some rather interesting update on the publisher's big franchises.
Over the last three fiscal years, Ubisoft has – with remarkable success – created numerous new brands and rebooted Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon... In 2017-18 we will see the exciting returns of Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, The Crew and South Park. In 2018-19 we intend to pursue our digital transformation and consolidate our new business model, which is much more recurring and more profitable and is now significantly less exposed to new releases.
According to rumors and leaks we already know a little bit about these games. Assassin's Creed seems to be heading to Egypt next, which is all but confirmed due to a screenshot leak. Far Cry 5 is set to take place in Montana according to sources as told to Kataku. The Crew 2 is simply the sequel to 2014's somewhat of a miss open-world driving game. Finally, South Park The Fractured But Whole is the South Park sequel that has been continuously delayed since December, which looks like it will now be releasing sometime in the next year or so.
Here are a couple of logos for some of the games that were shared yesterday via the Ubisoft Forums.
