Here's What Comes With the First DLC Pack for Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Nintendo has outlined what will be included in the first DLC pack for Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which is now set to release this summer.
Trial of the Sword is a wave based mode that players can find located in "a certain sacred location." Players start out with no equipment and work their way up as they progress through the 45 waves of enemies. At the end, they'll unlock a special Master Sword that is always in its charged and glowing form.
Hero's Path Mode lets players see where they've been on the map over the past 200 hours of gameplay. This way players can see where they've spent the most time and where they still have yet to explore. Here's a video showing it off:
In Hard Mode all enemies will have their difficulty level increased by one. In addition, enemies can regain health and some even have longer health bars. Apparently there are also some enemies, as well as treasure chests, in the sky. As if BOTW wasn't difficult enough already...
The Travel Medallion is a new item that is hidden in a chest somewhere waiting to be discovered. Once a player has it, they can select one location anywhere on the map and set it as a fast travel location. However, only one location can be selected at a time.
There are a total of eight new treasure chests around the world map that contain new armor from previous Zelda games. Most of them are silly, but let's be honest, who doesn't wanna save the princess dressed as Tingle.
Lastly there is a Korok Mask hidden in (you guessed it) another treasure chest somewhere. This mask will shake when worn near any of the 900 hiding Koroks throughout the game. That makes this nearly impossible task a little less daunting. Still not doing it though.
The only way to get the DLC is to buy the bundle for $20 which comes with DLC 1 and 2. Overall this seems like a pretty good release, if only for the Tingle outfit. As mentioned earlier, Nintendo will release this content sometime this summer, so stay tuned.
