People Are Saving World of Warcraft Gold to Buy Destiny 2

People Are Saving World of Warcraft Gold to Buy Destiny 2

Last week, Activision announced that Destiny 2 will release for PC through the Blizzard Launcher (formerly Battle.net) and now WoW players are saving their Tokens to buy Destiny 2 when it releases in September.

Players can redeem their in-game currency in WoW for currency to be used in the Blizzard Launcher. For example, players often make this exchange to but loot boxes in Overwatch or card packs in Hearthstone.

Since the announcement of Destiny 2 on Blizzard's game client the prices of Tokens have reached a high of 140,000 gold in the game. To put this into perspective for those of us that live in the real world, Tokens are going for roughly $20 right now.

So, if you have no money but a lot of time you could potentially buy Destiny 2 for nothing with enough time put into grinding out Tokens in World of Warcraft. My god, you PC nerds are so incredibly weird...
