Far Cry 5 Key Art and Teaser Revealed
Ubisoft has been slowly trickling out details on the latest Far Cry game, Far Cry 5.
Earlier in the week, a teaser trailer was released, confirming rumors that the game would be set in rural Montana, bringing the series to the United States for the first time.
Yesterday Ubisoft followed up the teaser by releasing the game's key art, which reveals a collection of rural Americans being depicted in stereotypical form. The evocation of religion, patriotism, and violence suggest that perhaps Far Cry 5 will revolve around telling a controversial story of the rural American life, as the series does with every local it depicts. The entire photo is likely a nod to the famous da Vinci mural painting, The Last Supper.
Ubisoft has confirmed that the first full trailer for the game will release on Friday, the 26, so, tomorrow. Surely, we will get a better look at the game then. Far Cry 5 will also show up again at Ubisoft's E3 presentation in June, and if I were a betting man, I'd say the game will likely release this Fall for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, although none of that has been announced as of yet.
