Monster Hunter XX Heading to Nintendo Switch

Monster Hunter XX Heading to Nintendo Switch

Capcom has announced that Monster Hunter XX will be coming to Switch in Japan on August 25, 2017.

The game is an updated version of Monster Hunter Generations and recently released on 3DS this year in Japan. Capcom released a trailer to accompany the announcement that shows some pretty interesting details.

The game will be slightly fresher on Switch, though it won't be a complete overhaul, so don't expect this to be the prettiest game on Switch. If you have the 3DS version you'll be able to connect with Switch players and play local multiplayer up to four-players. Of course, the game will also support four-player multiplayer between Switch units as well.

Players can also transfer save data from their 3DS copy of Monster Hunter Generations to the Switch version of XX. Capcom is referring to the game as Monster Hunter XX Switch Ver. (appropriately named.)

Of course a North American release has not been mentioned, but E3 is just around the corner so hopefully we will hear something soon. This would be an excellent addition to the Switch's library, let's make this happen in the States, guys.
