Original Xbox Games Will Soon Be Backwards Compatible on Xbox One

Towards the end of Microsoft's big E3 press conference, Phil Spencer announced that original Xbox games will be backwards compatible on Xbox One later this year.

Original Xbox games will also look and play better on Xbox One consoles, though we don't know to what extent that will be. A notable game that was mentioned as part of the new initiative is Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge, a beloved Xbox game that was originally released in 2003.

This is another huge fan service move on behalf of the Xbox team. We don't know yet if the games will be available to buy digitally as well, or if they'll include Achievements, but here's hoping.

Either way, this was a nice move. Everyone be sure to say "thank you" to Xbox.

Thanks Xbox!
