E3 2017: 'Core Pokémon RPG' Coming to Switch

Nintendo made up for their recent lackluster Pokémon Direct today during their E3 Spotlight event when the announcement was made that a new "core Pokémon RPG" is currently in development for Nintendo Switch.

Pokémon Company president Tsunekazu Ishihara stated, "Game Freak has begun developing a core RPG Pokémon title on Nintendo Switch." This probably means that the game is two or three years off, but this is an extremely exciting announcement nonetheless.

In the meantime, we have a  handful of additional Pokémon games on the way, like Pokkén Tournament DX for Switch and Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon for 3DS.
