Pokkén Tournament DX Announced for Nintendo Switch

Pokkén Tournament DX Announced for Nintendo Switch

The Pokémon Nintendo Direct this morning was all about a new Pokémon game (kind of) that is coming to Switch. Pokkén Tournament DX will release on Switch on September 22, 2017.

The DX version of Pokkén Tournament will feature five new fighters, including Darkrai, Scizor, Empoleon, Croagunk and Decidueye.

Thanks to the unique capabilities of the Switch, the game can now be played in local multiplayer by using separate Joy-Cons (ala Mario Kart 8 Deluxe). New modes include 3 versus 3 battles, online ranked matches, and friend-only group matches.

Now the Switch officially has a decent lineup of competitive fighters and Wii U ports. Watch it, Nintendo.
