Nintendo Will Let You Pre-Order the SNES Classic After All

It looks like Nintendo is going to let us pre-order the SNES Classic Edition after all.

After Walmart canceled tons of pre-orders the other week, Nintendo did something that they rarely do: they took to the internet to address people's concerns.

Here's what Nintendo had to say on pre-ordering their next headache, I mean, hardware release.

We appreciate the incredible anticipation that exists for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System: Super NES Classic Edition system, and can confirm that it will be made available for pre-order by various retailers late this month.
A significant amount of additional systems will be shipped to stores for launch day, and throughout the balance of the calendar year.

So it looks like late August will be your chance to pre-order one of these  bad boys. The box itself will release on September 29.

Man, I REALLY hope I can get one of these! Even if pre-orders go fast, hopefully Nintendo is serious about there being a lot of these on store shelves.

The SNES Classic Edition will sell for $80 and come complete with two Super NES controllers and 21 games, one of which being the never-before-relesased Star Fox 2.
